I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, and graduated from Roosevelt High School in May 2013. I received an A.A.S degree in Veterinary Technology in May of 2016. After becoming a full time technician, I realized it wasn’t at all where I saw myself in the future. I have always loved animals and have been dog sitting regularly since I was in high school. I have always had an interest in dog behavior which lead to 8 years of volunteering for a local dog rescue. I was able to welcome many fosters into my home and help them find their confidence and eventually their forever home. Three of those pups just so happen to call my home, their forever home! I have worked many years to decode body language especially in dogs that are reactive or presenting aggressive. Whether they’re actually aggressive or it is a secondary response, I have learned many tricks to keep your fur baby and myself out of harm’s way.

There were many seeds that grew into Safer At Home. One of those seeds was being a dog mom to a reactive girly pup. Reactivity is common, but it can make you feel alone or that you have to isolate your pup. I am more than willing to gain your pets trust at their pace!
I am excited to help all types of families and situations! I am qualified and insured to give any temperament of pet the attention and care they need!

Thank you for supporting my small business!

Kind regards,

Erin
